Sewing Patterns

I love designing patterns for myself.  I can create items that are exactly what I want and need.  I have often been asked by people at classes and shows about some of these patterns.  So, I have decided to start offering them on the website.  Most of my patterns offer you many options that allow you to personalize it to meet you specific needs.

If you place an order for PATTERNS ONLY, then use the coupon code PATTERN and you will not be charged for shipping.  Instead, your pattern will be sent by email as a PDF attachment.  If you order a Pattern with other items, you will be sent a printed copy of the pattern in your order.  If you want a copy by email instead, just drop me an email and I will send it that was as well.

The first pattern that I am offering is my Sewing Mat with Lots of Pockets Pattern.  This pattern gives you the option to make two different size sewing mats.  One fits well under a normal size sewing machine or needle felting machine.  The other fits under a large combination sewing and embroidery machine or a machine with a quilting table attached.  Both mats contain two rows of pockets to arrange all of the items that you want to have close at hand when you are working.  The larger pockets are tall enough to hold a pair of Gingher fabric scissors without falling out.  You can make them in many different widths to meet your specific needs.  (There is even a chart in the pattern that helps you calculate the length of fabric you need for pockets.)  The front pockets are made of fiberglass screen (available at the hardware store.)  You can see through these pockets and they are perfect for lining up the colors for an embroidery project or those little items (like thread caps) that I need to often find.  And, both size mats are roll and tie mats that allow you to keep all of your tools handy when you go to a class.  Roll it up with all of the notions inside and tie it closed.  When you get to class, just roll it back out, put your machine on top and you will be right at home.
