Silk Noil Fiber

Silk Noil is a fiber that resembles a paper pulp. It is very soft, but not very interesting in its undyed form. But when it is dyed and felted, you get a fabric that is VERY soft and silky...well, I guess it should feel silky since it is silk. I had thought that merino roving made a very soft felt, but when I felted silk noil into a foundation fabric, I was amazed at how soft it was. I cannot wait until I can make a garment to wear using some of this.

I will be adding more colors soon. All of this fiber is hand dyed since my suppliers do not sell it in any colors. So, it will take me a week or two to get up a full range of colors.
