Which machines can use the needles that you sell?

We have customers who have successfully used our needles in the following machines:

Babylock Embellisher

Nancy's Notions Fab Felter

Huskystar ER-10

Pfaff Smart 350

Singer ER-10

Bernina Felting Attachment

Janome XPression (FM-725) with the replacement 5 needle holder for individual needles.  This replacement needle holder is available at your local dealer.

How are your needles different from the needles sold by my dealer?

The needles that we sell are needles made for industrial machines that make non-woven fabric.  To make the needles compatible with the home felting machines, we have the needles cut to the proper length for use in the home machines.

Why should I buy my needles from you instead of my dealer?

There are three factors to consider when making a decision where to purchase replacement needles.  The first consideration is price.  Every consumer wants to get the best value for their money.  The second is quality.  No one wants to buy a second rate product.  The third is variety.  We get the best results when we use the product that is best matched to the project that we are making.

When I began machine needle felting, I was amazed that the replacement needles for my machine cost $3.60 EACH and that I needed to use 7 needles at a time on the machine.  Granted, this was when there was only one company on the market with a standalone felting machine.  I thought that there had to be a less expensive way to obtain replacement needles.  When I found the way to do it, I began selling replacement needle on TryOurDesigns.com at significant savings over the dealer cost.  As new machines can out, I did not see any drop in the price of the replacement needles by other dealers, so I investigated which machines could use the needles that I was selling and found that they could be used by quite a few of these machines.

Next, I started to look at the quality of the needles that were being sold.  I tried needles from every brand of machine that could use the needles that I sell and did not find that the higher price needles worked any better.  In fact, I found that how well they worked varied by company.  To find out why, I started to search for facts about the needles that the manufacturers were selling.  I found that even though the needles were interchangeable from  one machine to another, they did not always work the same.  That was because different manufacturers were selling different size needles.  So, then, thanks to a very patient needle salesman, I took a crash course in felting needles.

This resulted in the variety of styles and sizes of needles that we currently sell on TryOurDesigns.com.  We test every style and size of needle we sell before we consider adding it to our product line.  Each needle has different characteristics from which we believe you, as a consumer, should be able to choose.

In the future, we will continue to work with needle manufacturers to find needles that make your job as a home needle felter/puncher easier.  And, we will continue to do it at a price that offers a huge savings from the cost of replacement needles from your dealer....unless your dealer finds out about us and decides to sell them locally for you.
